What We Did

Project Overview

Following the renovation and updating of this house, we were approached to design a contemporary garden wrapping around the back and side which connected the house and garden in style and materials, and enabled the new wide glass doors to open onto entertaining spaces.

The new garden is designed to lead the eye to the lovely views of the countryside beyond. New retaining structures were built to give usable space around the house including lawns and planting areas. The retaining structures were built from reclaimed stone walling in all lower sections so that the view from the bottom of the garden was one which fitted into this Derbyshire countryside setting. Whilst the porcelain paving in the upper areas and rendered upper walls clearly belong to the house. Our client works with aeroplanes, so a converted section of fuselage became a garden office space, and a pergola connected to the house covers a modern outdoor kitchen set.
